Sexual Violence Reporting and Investigation

If you or someone you know has been subjected to sexual misconduct by a UBC community member and you want UBC to investigate, you may contact the Director of Investigations directly at: 604-827-4020 or via email at director.of.investigations@ubc.ca. The Director of Investigations provides oversight and guidance to investigators to ensure that each investigation is conducted in a trauma-informed, confidential and respectful manner in accordance with the principles of procedural fairness. A trauma-informed investigation process means all parties will be treated fairly, respectfully and no one will be subject to cross examination or interrogation (as commonly seen in a criminal trial). For more information on how UBC’s Investigations Unit conducts trauma-informed investigations, please visit their website at: investigationsoffice.ubc.ca/.
